The exhibition celebrates “The Year of Tolerance” proclaimed in UAE for the year 2019 by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE.For the occasion calligraphers from UAE, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Sudan express themselves with original and colourfulworks, that highlight the values of tolerance, dialogue, coexistence and respect.
Aisha Alabbar Art Gallery aims to celebrate calligraphy as one of the most powerful art forms that gives life to written words. It also underlines the deep meaning of the Arabic language in connection with Islam and Arabic traditions, such as poetry and the alphabet. Ramadan is the best moment to celebrate these deep connections. For the occasion the artists express themselves with original and colorful works. The exhibition is curated by Aisha Alabbar Art Gallery.
